Our Services

Welcome

Hello, I'm Lisa. Cat lover and devoted cat mummy to my own rescue fur babies, Benny, Lily, Scooter and Daisy.

Thank you for visiting the McLeo Cat Care website.

I founded McLeo Cat Care in March 2017, when after 20 years of working for airlines in Aberdeen Airport, redundancy unfortunately came my way. Driven by my love of cats, and the encouragement of my husband, a discussion around my In-Law's dining table sparked the idea and I decided on a career change for something I have always wanted to do. Work with cats.

I always felt a sense of guilt when sending my original cat Bella away for her 'holiday' to a cattery. Bella, (pictured) who sadly suffered a heart attack and passed away aged 4 in October 2018, was found abandoned at the roadside as a tiny kitten and rescued by the Scottish SPCA. She was always wary of people and nervous of other cats, and so cattery life was very stressful for her. She was always much happier in the comfort and security of her own surroundings. Normally lazing on her cat tree, playing with a box, or curled up on her blanket. My eldest cat Benny started life as a very nervous feral stray and he would not cope with a caged environment.

I know that sometimes it can be difficult to ask a friend or neighbour to care for your fur babies whilst you go on holiday, a business trip, offshore, or even a planned stay in hospital. That is where I can help you, by visiting your home and caring for your feline friends in the comfort and safety of their own familiar surroundings. I am security checked, fully insured, and I also have certificates in Cat Care and Pet First Aid, so your beloved cats will be well looked after whilst you are away.

How It Works

Once you have chosen to make a booking with me, I will call you around two weeks before the first date of your booking to arrange a time and date, (normally conducted during the week before your departure) for a “meet and greet” session with you and your cat. This is when we will finalise arrangements and discuss the exact needs of your feline friend. There is no charge for my meet and greet visit.

During your time away, I will visit your property once or twice per day as agreed and carry out the following:

  • Any remaining food from my previous visit will be disposed of, feeding bowls washed out and replenished with fresh food.
  • Their drinking water will be changed.
  • Litter trays will be emptied and cleaned as required.

And most importantly, if your little fur babies wants to interact, then it's play and cuddle time.

My prices are per visit, and my fees do do not include the supply of cat food, litter or waste disposal bags, which I would ask you to provide in sufficient quantities to cover the time that I am caring for your cat. In the event that the quantity left is not sufficient, I will purchase any additional items and add them at cost to your invoice, however please be aware that there will be a one off charge of £5 for this service.

On your return, I will arrange a time with you to either collect the keys to your property from me, or a time for me to visit you and return them.

I respectfully seek payment for my services within 14 days of my last visit. I currently accept payment by cash, cheque with a bankers card or bank transfer.
