Hello, I'm Lisa. Cat lover and devoted cat mummy to my own rescue fur babies, Benny, Lily, Scooter and Daisy.
Thank you for visiting the McLeo Cat Care website.
I founded McLeo Cat Care in March 2017, when after 20 years of working for airlines in Aberdeen Airport, redundancy unfortunately came my way. Driven by my love of cats, and the encouragement of my husband, a discussion around my In-Law's dining table sparked the idea and I decided on a career change for something I have always wanted to do. Work with cats.
I always felt a sense of guilt when sending my original cat Bella away for her 'holiday' to a cattery. Bella, (pictured) who sadly suffered a heart attack and passed away aged 4 in October 2018, was found abandoned at the roadside as a tiny kitten and rescued by the Scottish SPCA. She was always wary of people and nervous of other cats, and so cattery life was very stressful for her. She was always much happier in the comfort and security of her own surroundings. Normally lazing on her cat tree, playing with a box, or curled up on her blanket. My eldest cat Benny started life as a very nervous feral stray and he would not cope with a caged environment.
I know that sometimes it can be difficult to ask a friend or neighbour to care for your fur babies whilst you go on holiday, a business trip, offshore, or even a planned stay in hospital. That is where I can help you, by visiting your home and caring for your feline friends in the comfort and safety of their own familiar surroundings. I am security checked, fully insured, and I also have certificates in Cat Care and Pet First Aid, so your beloved cats will be well looked after whilst you are away.
